Anhydrous Ammonia Recovery & Recharge for a Critical UK Food Supply Chain Facility
We at Blended are dedicated to ensuring the safe and efficient operation of essential industrial systems. Recently, our expertise was called upon to support a key player in the UK food supply chain with a complex and critical task.
The Challenge
Our client needed to perform vital valve maintenance on a large industrial refrigeration system. This required the safe recovery of over 20 tonnes of anhydrous ammonia; a hazardous but essential refrigerant. Given the scale and importance of the operation, there was no room for error.
Our Solution
Deploying our fleet of specialist ISO tanks, we successfully recovered the entire 20 tonnes of ammonia, ensuring a safe environment for the maintenance team to carry out their work. Once the maintenance was completed, we swiftly recharged the refrigerant, enabling the client to resume operations with minimal downtime.
Our approach was not just about recovery and recharge; it was about seamless execution, safety, and ensuring our client could maintain their critical role in the British food supply chain.
The Outcome
The project was a success, with the refrigeration system fully recharged and operational. This not only ensured the safety and efficiency of the system but also underscored our commitment to supporting critical infrastructure within the food industry.
