Why do ammonia compressor oils require low temperature fluidity?
When temperatures drop too low, oils become more viscous and lose performance. For ammonia compressors to be able to operate efficiently and effectively at their lowest temperatures, they need an oil that can maintain a low viscosity. This helps reduce the risk of oil building up in the evaporator, which can act as an insulator and significantly reduce the rate of thermal transfer.
The Coolblend Oil range offers the proven, low viscosity needed in extreme cool temperatures to maintain high-performance, allowing ammonia refrigeration systems to operate at temperatures as low as -54°C!
